We could tell you what we’re about…but we can’t express the financial coaching experience better than our clients. Read on for a client’s experience
When I was five, my parents signed me up for swim lessons because it was important that I had the skills necessary to get from one side of the pool to the other without drowning. My coach taught me how and when to move my arms, kick my legs and breathe. He offered
Tools I could use to build my strength and make the learning fun.
As a result, my confidence and ability to move through the water without sinking grew until, before I knew it, I was jumping in and making it to the other side without him.
At 37, I found myself drowning in a different way…
I was drowning in the anxiety around our finances.
I felt so behind in saving for retirement after spending too many years working jobs where the pay wasn’t great and the benefits weren’t much. I felt disorganized and embarrassed that I didn’t have a better understanding of what each of our accounts were, or how we should be using them to help us work towards our financial goals. I wasn’t even really sure where some of our old 401(k)s were!
It wasn’t because I didn’t want to do better for all those years…I just didn’t know how…
and I did seek help…. I can’t tell you how many firms we walked into over the course of our 10-year marriage, where I shared my anxiety and what I thought I needed to help me get organized, educated & equipped with an action plan that would get us moving forward.
But, I needed a coach.
- Someone genuinely passionate about listening to what it was I needed and provided their expertise and insight to help formulate an action plan.
- Someone that would actually share tools that I could use to get organized, educated, and disciplined around our finances.
- Someone that would hold me accountable for showing up and putting in the work.
- Someone that would work with me to help build my own confidence and “get to the other side”, just like that swim coach had done for me as a little girl.
When Vaishali launched Copper Seed, I knew she was exactly what I had been searching for all these years. I’ve been working with Vaishali for eight months now and
Never have I felt more empowered, especially as a woman, when it comes to our finances.
Instead of a paralyzing feeling of “overwhelm” each month, I feel in control.
For the first time, I can “see” all of our accounts in one place. I have a balance sheet that I update monthly to track our progress, and I’m gaining more and more confidence in my understanding of the different types of accounts we have & strategies for using them to help us reach our goals. I HAVE GOALS, actual goals, that we are actively working towards.
The crippling anxiety I used to feel is being replaced with confidence because
I have one heck of a coach who isn’t going to let me drown.
